Refund Policy
This Refund Policy describes when and how you may obtain a refund for paid subscriptions to Sunny.
1. Summary
- Free tier: no payment, no refund applicable.
- Basic (15 €) and Plus (39 €) tiers: you may waive your 14-day cooling-off right at checkout. We additionally offer a discretionary refund within 14 days of purchase if you have used less than 20% of the subscription period.
2. Waiver of statutory right of withdrawal
EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU, transposed in Spain as TRLGDCU) provides a 14-day cooling-off period for distance purchases. For digital content delivered immediately upon purchase, this right may be waived under TRLGDCU Article 103(m).
At checkout, you will be asked to confirm:
- Express consent to immediate delivery of the digital content.
- Acknowledgement that you lose your right of withdrawal in exchange for immediate access.
- You receive a durable medium confirmation (an email after purchase documenting the waiver).
By confirming the waiver, you acknowledge that you cannot claim a refund based on the 14-day cooling-off period for the activated service.
3. Discretionary refund (Basic and Plus tiers)
In addition to the statutory waiver, we offer a goodwill refund as follows.
We will provide a full refund within 14 days from purchase if all of the following conditions are met:
- You have used less than 20% of the subscription period or content;
- You contact us at
support@sunnysafebot.comor via your Polar customer portal with your refund request; - There is no indication of fraudulent or abusive use.
This is a binding commitment, not a discretionary statement.
After 14 days from purchase, refunds are not provided except where required by applicable consumer law.
4. Cancellation of recurring subscriptions
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle. You may cancel at any time through your customer portal at our payment provider or by emailing support@sunnysafebot.com.
- Effect of cancellation: future renewal charges stop immediately.
- Current cycle: you retain access until the end of the cycle you have already paid for. No partial refund is issued for the unused portion of the current cycle (unless required by applicable consumer law), because you waived your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal at checkout in exchange for immediate access.
- First cycle: the discretionary refund described in Section 3 applies only to the first billing cycle, within 14 days of the initial purchase and provided usage is below 20%. Subsequent renewals are not eligible for the discretionary refund.
If a renewal is charged in error (for example, after a confirmed cancellation), contact support@sunnysafebot.com and we will refund the erroneous charge.
5. How to request a refund
You may request a refund through either of the following channels:
- Self-service: through your customer portal at our payment provider;

Both channels are equally valid. Self-service is faster; email allows us to discuss alternatives (such as extending your subscription) if you prefer.
6. Processing time
Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days. The refunded amount is credited to the original payment method used for the purchase. Your bank may take additional time to reflect the refund in your account.
7. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback through your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we may suspend your access pending resolution. We strongly encourage you to contact us first — we can often resolve issues faster than the chargeback process and without any negative impact on your account.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The version number and effective date at the top reflect the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the website and/or in-bot notification.
Refunds for purchases made before a Policy change are governed by the version of the Policy in effect at the time of purchase.
9. Language
This Policy is provided in English and Russian. The English version is authoritative. In case of any discrepancy, the English version shall prevail.
